Eyebrow
transplant.
Eyebrow restoration via FUE implantation of single hairs. Exclusively mono-follicular distribution, 1-5° angles, millimetric design validated by the patient. One of the most precise procedures in hair restoration surgery.

Strict mono-follicularExtreme precision
on the arch.
Eyebrow transplant uses follicles harvested from the occipital fringe of the scalp to reconstruct or densify the eyebrow arches. Three technical features define it: exclusively mono-follicular distribution, extremely low implantation angle (1 to 5°), and pre-operative design locked in reference photographs.
Typical volume is 200 to 400 follicles per eyebrow — that is, 400 to 800 in total for a complete bilateral reconstruction. The result will be observable for years, and any correction requires a second procedure.
Restoration indications.
Traumatic alopecia
Sequelae of burn, accident, scarring injury. Chronic over-plucking causing follicular damage.
Medical reconstruction
Post-radiotherapy or post-chemotherapy. Congenital madarosis. Pronounced asymmetry.
Aesthetic densification
Of naturally sparse eyebrows. Targeted densification to restore symmetry or complete a design.
Five steps,
1-5° angles.
- 01
Consultation and validated design
Comparative examination and precise drawing of eyebrow contour, validated by the patient and locked in reference photographs. Critical step.
- 02
Ultra-fine selective extraction
Minimal occipital donor-area shaving. Selective extraction of the finest follicles with ultra-fine micro-punch (0.6-0.7 mm) — only mono-follicular units retained.
- 03
Arch anesthesia
Precise local anesthesia of the eyebrow arch. Supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves selectively blocked.
- 04
Flat implantation
Recipient site creation at very low angle (1-5°), exactly in the desired growth direction — which varies along the eyebrow length (vertical at head, horizontal at tail).
- 05
Final check
Implantation with forceps or Choi pen by zone. Reassessment of each eyebrow. Duration 3 to 5 hours.
Seven milestones
over twelve months.
Durable regrowth
at 9-12 months.
The physiological shedding phase between weeks 2 and 6 is expected. Regrowth becomes observable at 3 months, consolidated result at 9 months, final maturation at 12 months. Grafted eyebrows remain for life provided regular trimming — they retain the scalp’s hair growth cycle, longer than native eyebrow follicles.
Contraindications
Arch edema 3-5 days, scabs 7-10 days, transient sensitivity. Contraindications: progressive alopecia areata, active lichen planopilaris, local cutaneous infection.

Complete bilateral reconstruction: 400 to 800 mono-follicular grafts. Targeted densification: 100 to 200 follicles.
Common questions.
Do grafted eyebrows need trimming? +
Yes. Transplanted follicles retain the scalp’s hair growth cycle, longer than native eyebrow follicles. Periodic trimming every 7-10 days is necessary to maintain design shape.
How many grafts per eyebrow? +
Typically 200 to 400 follicles per eyebrow, in exclusively mono-follicular distribution for natural rendering.
At what age? +
From age 18 for stabilized aesthetic indications. For post-traumatic or post-pathological indications, once the underlying cause has stabilized.
Can the design be modified after? +
With difficulty. Shape correction requires a second procedure. The pre-operative design is a critical step.
Shaving required? +
Minimal shaving of the occipital donor area only, masked by long hair. No shaving of the recipient area.
Outcome guarantees? +
No ethical hair restoration surgeon can guarantee a regrowth percentage — ISHRS rules forbid such claims.

Clinical fact — According to the literature, eyebrow transplantation aims to restore density with natural-looking results through modern follicular unit extraction refinements (Bared, 2019).
Dr El Cadhi personally performs the eyebrow design, anaesthesia, harvesting of the long grafts, needle incisions and forceps implantation. The assistants handle the sorting and trimming into single-hair follicular units under microscope.
Results depend on each patient's individual profile. No result can be guaranteed.
